Rachel Ann Clements was born in Zanesville, Ohio, January 5, 1837 and died at her home in Princeton, July 15, 1919 at the age of 82 years, 6 months and 10 days.
She came to this county in 1842, and was united in marriage to Richard Ballew in 1852. To this union were born eleven children, 5 girls and 6 boys. She was preceded in death by her husband and 6 children. Those living are A.C. and C.H. Ballew, of Princeton; E.C. Ballew, of Los Angeles, CA; C.O., of Carbondale, Colorado; and Mrs. Dr. S.C. Bea??, of Evansto, Illinois.
Sister Ballew was converted young in life and was a charter member of the Princeton Church.
Besides her children, she is survived by five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and one great-great granchild.
Funeral services were held at 4:30 Wednesday at the residence, conducted by Rev. V.F. Walker. Interment in the Princeton Cemetery
