"Isaac Kay, son of William and Rachel (Boyd) Kay, was born in 1805, in Bedford County, and was employed at furnaces to take charge of the teams. Before the railroad to Baltimore was constructed he drew goods with horses from that city. He was a Republican and a member of the Methodist Episcopal church.
