Miss Julia McCants, daughter of Mr & Mrs J G McCants, died at home of her parents at 6 o'clock p.m., on Sunday last. She was taken seriously ill on Thursday with fever and rapidly grew worse until relived by the angel of death as the sun sank in the west on Sunday evening. She was about 16 years of age and was just entering young woman-hood when called to be with the saints above. She was one of the brightest,most affectionate, kind and loving hearts in the community in which she lived; with her school mates she was a special favorite and was loved by all who knew her. Many hearts are made sad at her death. The funeral services took place at Union church of which she was a member, on Monday evening, conducted by Reverend J T Mims. The parents have the sincere sympathy of many friends and relatives in their sad affliction.
