She died at the home of John and Net Smith near Duck 6mi from Jefferson City Mo (There is also an obit that states she died at Home of George - son - Austeel near Elston Station, Cole Co. Mo.) Cemetary is at Goshen Primative Babtist Church on hill outside Wilton (Hyway 63 south turn into Ashland to thru on M to Wilton, turn left at first road - Ceder Tree lane - to .3 mi on winding road church on rt cemetary on Lt, Grave is up hill from gate at 13th fence post and straight across toward big trees) . She was a Babtist. She came to Mo as a child (one obit states she was born in Garrett Co KY). She is buried next to Drusilla Grindstaff Wife of George Grindstaff (Willie McGrath stated Drusilla was her great Grandmother) and Mary Alice her Grandmother. B. 1799 D. 22 Jun 1844 ( Could Be Grandstaff?) She Joined the Baptist Church at Goshen when about 18 yrs old and lived a consistent member ever since.

The obit in the Ashland Paper (10 Sep 1896) states "Her remains were laid to rest in Goshen Cemetery by the side of her mother to await the ----".

Letter from Nan Austeel Orear dated Jefferson City, Mo Sep 6 1896 Oh, sister (Mary Alice Austeel Wilson), the sad tidings has come and it has almost broke my heart our Dear, Dearest Mother is Dead and Buried. She Died Sep 1 at 7pm, sister, she was 73 yrs old on the day we laid her to rest at Goshen on the day following the day she died here. We did every thing for her that could be done. She died very quiet with out a struggle. Oh Sister we know that she was prepared to go and that is a great consolation. Oh Sister she looked so peaceful and happy in death.
