Isla Cain Smith age 86 of Maryville died Friday May 7th 2004 at Maryville Health Center.

She was a member of Fairpark Westland Church, she attended Campbell Junior College and she graduated from R. L. Pullman School of Nursing. She served as Director of Nursing and Schools of Nursing in Fayetteville NC, and served as Asst. Director of Nursing in Washington D.C. She was a member of the American Nursing Association and American Red Cross.

She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond O. Smith Sr. and parents Eugene M. And Annie T. Sykes Cain.

She is survived by step daughter in law Mary E. Smith of Maryville, step daughter Peggy Mellow of CA, and step daughter and step son in law Fran and David Binns of TX. She has 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, and a sister Lucy Matthews of NC., and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service with Pastor Wayne Friday officiating.
