Daughter of the Reverend Alvan Vincent and Sue Burley nee Walker, Elizabeth was the oldest known child of this couple. Sue Walker married Alvan Vincent 21 August 1878 in Warren County, IL. A widower by 1900, the Reverend Vincent lived in Emporia Ward 1, Lyon, KS, with the couple's three children: Elizabeth 28, Grace 18, and George 6. Daughter Elizabeth Vincent married Ernest N. Evans 12 June 1905; marriage was recorded in Benton County, AR. Ernest Evans, a minister, was born in PA. From a review of census entries 1910-1930, the Evans' children were Robert V., Elizabeth V., Ernest V., and Paul V.
