Orison Maynard Thomas,
56, of Route 5, Clinton, passed away suddenly Tuesday evening, February 22, 1983, at the Oak Ridge Hospital, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Morgan County. He was the son of the late R. S. Thomas and was also an electrical engineer with Union Carbide X-10 Plant in Oak Ridge. Mr. Thomas was also a United States Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Wallace Memorial Baptist Church in Knoxville. He is survived by his mother, Mary Cross Thomas of Norris; his wife, Fannie Frazier Thomas of Clinton; three daughters: Mrs. Sandra Kay Hutcheson of Seymour, Mrs. Paula Sue Thomas of Los Angeles, Calif., and Miss Jamie Thomas of Clinton; a son, Carl Thomas of Powell; mother, Mary C. Thomas of Norris; two sisters: Mrs. Mary Lou Parrott of Knoxville and Mrs. Crystal Hart of Little Rock, Ark.; one brother, Roy O. Thomas of Morgantown, W. Va.; two granddaughters: Latricia Thomas and Melanie Thomas, both of Powell; one grandson, Jason Thomas of Powell; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 8:30 p.m. Thursday evening, February 24, at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton. Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday morning, February 25, at the Grave Hill Cemetery in Scott County. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton was in charge of arrangements
