Thomas W. Higginson, 64, of 304 Arthur St., West Kittanning, died at 1:15 p.m. at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. A former Leechburg resident, he lived in Kittanning area the past 41 years. He worked at the Ford City plant of PPG Industries Inc., for 31 years, retiring in 1972. He also operated Higginson Auto Service in West Kittanning. He was a veteran of World War II, a life member of West Kittanning Fire Department and a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Kittanning. He was born May 4, 1911 in Allegheny County, a son of the late Thomas W. and Irene (Stevens) Higginson. Surviving are his wife, Martha (John) Higginson; four sons: Robert T. of Kittanning RD 7, William C. of Worthington RD 2, Donald E. of Meadville and Thomas W. of Kittanning; five daughters: Mrs. John (Shirley) Walker of Adrian RD1, Mrs. James (Beverly) Armstrong of Templeton RD1, Mrs. Larry (Patricia) Heasley of Templeton, Paulette Clever of Kittanning and Mrs. Richard (Cindy) Placek of Kittanning; five sisters: Mrs. Chester (Mildred) Wible, Mrs. Ivan (Dorothy) Clever and Mrs. Lester (Virginia) Rimmel, all of Leechburg, Mrs. John (Edith) Hepburn of Vandergrift RD 1 Rd Mrs. Robert (Marian) Trimble of Eau Gallie, Fla.; and 22 grandchildren. HIGGINSON – Friends of Thomas W. Higginson, who died Aug. 16, 1975, are being received at Amberson Bauer Funeral Home, Kittanning, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Howard F. Loch. Interment will be made in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, East Franklin Township. Arrangements. By Bauer.
