John I. Almdale, who owned John's Glencoe Union 76 in Glencoe for many years, died Oct. 17 . Mr. Almdale, 81, was a resident of Arlington Heights.
He was born Jan. 30, 1919, in Chicago and served in the U.S. Air Force at Pearl Harbor and in Korea. He had the rank of senior master sergeant.
He was a member of the Arlington Heights Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 981.
Surviving family members include his wife and children whose names are witheld for privacy reasons.
Burial was in Fort Sheridan Cemetery.
