Funeral services for Annie Lee Jett of Cordele will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 14, 2009 at Union Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends Sunday from 5:00 until 8:00 at Rainey Family Funeral Service. Mrs. Jett, 87, died Saturday at Cordele Health and Rehab. She was born in Wilcox County and was the daughter of the late Tennie Grover and Mary Mitchell Crenshaw. She was a bookkeeper with Sears, and was a long-time member of Union Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years. Mrs. Jett is survived by four daughters and their husbands, Betty Green, and Judy and Sam Irwin, all of Cordele, Trudy and Ron Baggett of Warner Robins and Kathy and Jon Nesbitt, also of Cordele; a brother and his wife, George and Hilda Crenshaw of Pitts; a sister, Voncile Mayo of Seville; a brother-in-law and his wife, Rev. James and Martha Bryan of Pitts; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Candy and Wendell Hall, Steven Hornyak, Amy and Keith Lauritsen, Anne Irwin, Laura Irwin, Sarah and Jason Duncan, Nikki and David Forsberg, Carrie and David Dowdy and Jonathan Nesbitt; and seven great-grandchildren, Chris Hall, April Hall, Molly Lauritsen, Matthew Lauritsen, Mark Lauritsen, Noah Forsberg, Braedyn Davis-Irwin, and Marina Dowdy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Edward Jett and her grandson, Jeff Hornyak.
