Death of Mr. T. L. Freeland.

Mr. T. L. Freeland died last night at the Presbyterian Hospital at 7 o'clock. He was 70 years of age and is survived by several children. He had been ill for some time with pneumonia. The funeral will take place this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of Mr. Preston Freeland, 410 North College street. Mr. Freeland was a loyal member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church.

Was a Veteran and Comrades Will be Pallbearers.

The funeral of Mr. Thomas L. Freeland, who died Thursday night at 7 o'clock at the Presbyterian Hospital, after an illness since Sunday with pneumonia, will be conducted this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the residence of his son, Mr. L. Julius Freeland, 819 North College street, where he had made his home for years. Rev. W. E. Furr, pastor of St. Paul Presbyterian Church, of which he was a member, will conduct the service.

Mr. Freland was 69 years old and was born at Haw River. He had lived in Charlotte since early manhood. He served in the war as a member of the Hornets' Nest Riflemen and his record as a soldier and as a man is untarnished.

Mr. Freeland is survived by two sons, Messrs. L. Julius Freeland, of Charlotte and Mr. A. T. Freeland of Marshville, two daughters, Mrs. W. E. Bailey of Marshville and Mrs. Paul Burghardt of New York, three sisters, Mrs. J. F. Alexander of Charlotte, Mrs. Annie Freshwater of Haw River, Mrs. Robert Campbell of Newell, and a brother Mr. P. T. Freeland of Charlotte.

Mr. Freeland was a member of Mecklenburg Camp Confederate Veterans and his pallbearers will be chosen from among his comrades.
