s/o; Peter Hartman & Harriett Aday.
h/o; Mary Maxine Campbell.

Bio;
Johnny's mother; Harriett Aday,Was in fact dying of influenza (The great Influenza Epidemic of the early 1900's which took thousands upon thousands of lives in the United States) and was pregnant with John Henry Hartman, so a few moments after her death he was taken prematurely. He was raised by his mother's sister who was married to a man whose surname was Jones. Thus, John Henry Hartman was raised as John Henry "Johnny"Jones.
He was in an accident in 1966 at Amarillo Texas when the pickup he was riding in,driven by his son Johnny Ray, was struck by a train.(He received extreme head injurys and suffered from brain damage the rest of his life) He spent the next few years in the Hospital, as well as the V A hospital during which time his wife divorced him. She remarried a fellow named Diaz!

Johnny served this country (The United States) during WW II in the U S Army Glider Corp

For a fact this was one of the hardest working men ever, he did what ever from digging graves, to ditches, to shoveling horse dung, to mowing grass when there was no gas powered mowers, hard work was something he was never afraid of,(I bet the true definition of hard work starts with his name) simply to feed his family. There has never been displayed by anyone (other than Jesus Christ) more love for their family than this man showed, for he showed it for all to see. Foul language never flowed across his lips. He never let anger guide his path nor enter into his day to day life. He was a kind mild mannered man that endured more than the average man would ever endure. the things he endured from Birth to death would take a book to write it all ,yet he was always honest and upright in all of his dealings with his fellow man. I have heard people say peanut butter was his favorite food and he did love it,But thats another story.

For those of you who dont know Hartman (ashkenazic) is listed in 1930's Germany as a Jewish Name, List of( Sangre Judia)Jewish Blood for Concentration Camps

His name was legaly changed by his guardian to Jones in the last few years of his life. He himself never changed it.
