James Scroggins, 54, of Storm Lake, Iowa (formerly of Wagoner, Oklahoma) passed away November 11, 1992 at Buena Vista County Hospital in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Services were held November 14, 1992 at the Ida Grove First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Marvin Lindley officiating. Interment was at the Ida Grove Cemetery in Iowa, under the direction of Ciha Funeral Home.
Mr. Scroggins was born to Enos Elmer and Ellen (Wallings) Scroggins, October 2, 1938 in Wagoner, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his first wife Wanda Meyers on January 6, 1987. He remarried, December 15, 1987, to Mary Millard in Wagoner. He worked most of his life in construction work in Wagoner, then moved to Iowa in August of 1989, living in Ida Grove until moving to Storm Lake in 1990. Where he was employed by IBP until his health forced him to retire.
Mr. Scroggins is survived by : his wife, Mary, of Storm Lake, Iowa; three daughters and their husbands; Ruth and Myron Corbin, Arthur, Iowa, Elaine and Gary Welch of Wagoner, Oklahoma and Holly and Greg Looney of Tulsa; three sons; Richard Deskins of Russellville, Arkansas, Randy Schneider of Storm Lake, Iowa, Craig and Tammy Trumbo of Edmonton, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; three brothers and their wives; Junior and Hazel Smith of Kansas City, Kansas, Enos and Gennevee Scroggins, of Wagoner and Joe and Brenda Smith of Tulsa; two sisters and their husbands; Patsy and Leonard Harris of Wagoner and Vera and Tom Holcomb of Buffalo, New York.
