Waldo M. Kirkendall, 68, formerly of Kokomo, died Wednesday of last week in Bay Pine Veterans Hospital, St. Petersburg, Fla. He had been in ill health since March.
He was born July 17, 1898, in Howard County, to Ettis and Edna Moulder Kirkendall. His first marriage was to Faye Marie Pound on August 30, 1920, in Austin, Scott County, Indiana, who preceded him in death in 1955. He later married Nellie Dunlap, who survives.
Other survivors include two sons; two brothers, Howard Kirkendall of Burlington and Robert Kirkendall of Russiaville; two sisters; six grandchildren; one great - grandchild and several nieces and nephews. One brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Saturday in Fenn Funeral Home in Kokomo and burial was made in Crown Point Cemetery.
