Eliza Jane Newland was born circa 1822 in Clark Co., OH, the daughter of Nicholas and Priscilla (Murphy) Newland. She was married twice. Her 1st husband was Achilles Bocock (1821-1849); following his death she married William Nelson Boots (1819-1860). After William's death in 1860 she and her son Wm. R. Boots moved to Howard County and were residing with her son from her first marriage (Cryus Bocock). Compiled and submitted by Brenda Massie Tolle Apr 2021
