Thomas "Tom" Camden, 84, of Amarillo, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2002.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Dr. Chester Beavers officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Camden was born in Floyd County to Charley and Rosa Jane Donathan Camden. He served in the Army during World War II with the 884th Ordnance. He moved to Amarillo in the late 1930s.
He retired as a clerk from the Postal Service and worked for many years at Producer's Grain Corporation. He was a member of 884th Ordnance Veterans, AARP and American Postal Workers Union. He married Lilly Mays on Aug. 16, 1947, in Clovis, N.M.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Tommy Camden of Lubbock; two daughters, Donna Nomelli and Judy Camden, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Margeret Beck of Waco and Ruby Custer of Slaton; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Meals on Wheels.
