Betty Preuss was the youngest of seven children to Frank and Hulda(nee Wruck) Preuss. Her oldest brother, Franklin, died before she was born.

Betty married Ron Schmoldt, and had seven children themselves- Robert, Ronald, Richard, James, Steven, Mary, and Kevin.
Mom had a great sense of humor, she turned us on to the Marx Brothers, Henny Youngman, Milton Berle,Jack Benny, and other greats who could make us laugh without being dirty. She was great at Trivial Pursuit, when you would ask her how she knew some incredibly obscure fact, she would smile and say, "because I'm older than you".
Mom died after a 1 1/2 year battle with cancer when she was only 56, and we all miss her dearly.
