Earl L. Towson, of Eatonton, died Thursday morning at his home. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Virginia Moore Towson, two children, Lin (Jo) Towson of Milledgeville and Bruce (Debbie) Towson of McDonough and preceded in death by daughter Janice Rickman of Macon. Mr. Towson also leaves four grandsons, Sam Rickman of Conyers, Brad Towson of Atlanta, John David Rickman of Milledgeville, Michael Towson of McDonough, and three adopted grandsons, Mc Daniel, Walker Daniel and Chad Kellett all of McDonough. Three great grandsons and two great granddaughters also survive Mr. Towson, Parents, Otha W. Towson and Bessie Lee Daniel; brothers, Marvin, Lyman and Reese Towson and sisters, Florine Gentile and Christie McAtee preceded Mr. Towson in death.

Born on March 25, 1928, Earl was raised in Laurens County, Georgia. He and wife, Virginia, made their home and raised three children in Macon. In 1978, they moved to Milledgeville to live on Lake Sinclair. Earl and Virginia are members of the First United Methodist Church of Milledgeville. Earl started 'Earls Used Cars' in 1978 and his son, Lin, continues to run the family business. Mr. Towson has many friends and business associates in the Milledgeville, Macon and Twiggs County area. He will be missed by all.

Visitation is Saturday, December 12th from 1:00 to 2:30 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home in Milledgeville. The services will be held in the Williams Chapel at 2:30 with Dr. Jay Hodges officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Down's Syndrome Association of Atlanta, 4355 J. Cobb Parkway, #213, Atlanta, Georgia 30339 or to your favorite charity.
