Bill Mills, Flight Lieutenant RCAF, was my Father.

Although he died in 1965, it was not until 40 years later, in August 2005, that I discovered exactly where his ashes had been scattered. (While I was allowed to attend his funeral -- at 14, I had been considered almost "too young" -- neither my Mum nor I were present at the placement.)

In April 2006, my Dad's name was inscribed on the rose-granite plynth which stands in the centre of the Scatter Garden at Bayview Crematorium, overlooking Hamilton Bay.

At Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Guelph, Wellington County, Ontario, immediately adjacent to the Mills family plot, in September 2006, exactly 1 day before my Dad's 98th birth date, a curved black-granite Memorial Bench was set out "In Loving Memory of William Ross (Bill) Mills". Dad is now remembered in company with his parents, Lt. Colonel James EDGAR MILLS and Mildred MEREDITH, and his grandparents, Dr. James MILLS and Jessie ROSS, all four of whom rest at Woodlawn.

I'm so glad to be able to commemorate Dad here on Find-a-Grave as well. =]) Beth
