Bettie (Harrell) Farless Lewis was the daughter of Ed Harrell and Nancy Hathcock. Her father is listed on her death certificate as Edd Herod as his last name is sometimes found. Her mother's name is not given on the certificate. The two half sisters mentioned in her obituary as survivors were Liddie Richardson and Fannie Baltimore - both daughters of her father by his second (or third) marriage. She married John Frank Farless in July 1880 in Coffee County, TN. A few years after John died, she married Tom Lewis.

Missing from the links below to Bettie and John's children are their son, Frank Farless, two children who were born and died before 1900 and two children who were born and died between 1900 and 1910.
