Harry Jennings, 57, of W. Burlington, Pa. Sunday, July 20, 1947. Survivors: wife, Ethel Austin Jennings; daughter, Effie Jennings, Elmira; son, Raymond Jennings, W. Burlington; sisters, Mrs. Mertie Alexander of Franklindale, Pa., Mrs. Anna Allen of Towanda, Pa., Mrs. Charles Van Noy of Granville Center, Pa., and Mrs. William Harrison of Ithaca; brothers, Nelson and Grover of Franklindale, Pa., and Freal of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews. Services at family home, Wednesday, 2pm, the Rev. Leon Northrup. West Franklin Cemetery.
Harry was a lumberman, as was his father. He served in Europe in the Army in WWI.
Here's a high school autobiography that was written by Harry's daughter, Effie, in 1938:

I was born in Lounsberry, New York, November seventh, nineteen hundred twenty. We lived in Lounsberry when times were good. During that winter a lot of snow covered the ground. My father's name is "Hi", Jennings. He was a sawyer for Frank Rockwell many years. His ancestors were English and German. He says he had a little Indian blood in his veins. My mother's name is Ethel Jennings. Her ancestors were English. She was just a farmer's daughter, and had to milk cows like all farmer's daughters have to do.
When I was one year old, my folks and I moved to Brookton, New York. There my father worked in a lumber mill for a year and a half. Then we moved to Casline Center, New York, where we lived for about six months. We moved on a farm this side of Alfred Van Noy's where we lived for a short time. We then bought a farm. It used to be called the "Old Paint Farm" where we live now.
