Elizabeth "Betty" Rose Crossan McKenzie, 74, of Haverford and formerly of Washington Crossing, died Dec. 5 at Penn Hospice in Philadelphia.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a graduate of Misericordia School of Nursing. Mrs. McKenzie was a registered nurse at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, a pediatrics office in Upper Darby, Livengrin Alcohol & Drug Rehabilitation Center in Bucks County, Home Visiting Nurse, St. Lawrence Rehabilitation Center and Rider College in Lawrence, N.J. She retired in 1997.
She volunteered, delivered and cooked for Meals for Wheels for shut-ins in Bucks County.
She was the daughter of the late Hugh and Bridget O'Brien Crossan and the sister of the late Hugh "Sonny" Crossan.
Survivors: Husband, Thomas J. McKenzie; sons, Michael McKenzie, Thomas McKenzie; daughters, Mary McKenzie Dixon, Elizabeth McKenzie; six grandchildren.
Service: 10 a.m. Saturday, St. Cyril of Alexandria Church, 153 Penn Blvd., East Lansdowne.
Visitation: 6-9 p.m. Friday, Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby.
Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon.
