John H. Foltz died at his home in the west part of town on Wednesday afternoon, March 5th, at the age of 69 years. He had been in poor health for many months and the end was not unexpected. He was born in Indiana May 15th, 1861.
Mr. Foltz has lived in and near Cherokee for many years, and was a blacksmith by trade. He worked for the Frisco railroad when they had the round house here. He was a man well thought of, who paid his debts, and worked hard. Was a good father, and will be missed.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 this afternoon at the Christian church by Rev. W.W. Jewell. Burial will be in the Cherokee cemetery. Contributed by Cheryl White
