George W. Sanders, 84, of 3808 Drake Ave, Huntsville, died Friday at his home. The funeral will be today at 3:30pm at McConnell Funeral Home in Athens with John Davis officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Athens.
Mr. Sanders was a deacon of Hillsboro Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Sanders; a daughter, Margaret Robison of Harvest; a son, Buford Sanders of Madison; three sisters, Effie Rainbolt of Nashville and Charlotte Blair and Audie Sanderson, both of Huntsville; and five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
