Bradford Van R. Moore, 76, died September 23, 1971 in a Tucson AZ hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks. He had been in ill health since being injured in an auto accident in 1969. Funeral services were held September 26 in Tuscon; ashes were returned to Monticello to be placed in the Moore Mausoleum in Monticello cemetery.
Mr. Moore was born in Monticello, s/o Allan F. and Madora Moore. He is survived by his widow, Jane Harris Moore; a daughter, Mary Jane Harvey, Tucson; seven grandchildren; and a brother, William of Ottawa IL. One son, Howard (Bus), and one daughter, Peggy, preceded him in death.
He attended Brown University and was a captain in WW I. He was president for several years of the Moore State Bank in Monticello; and owner of Camp Creek Duck Farm. About 1950 the family moved to Tucson where he was commodity manager of Walston Brokerage Co. His family gave the Moore Memorial Gymnasium at the Monticello High School.
The family requests memorials be made to Southern Arizona Heart Fund, or to their local heart fund.
