Mrs. Rudy Nauenburg died Monday of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Investigation of the incident was by the Platte County Attorney's office and State Patrol.

Cleo Nauenburg was born March 29, 1921 at St. Edward, Nebraska, the daughter of Tom and Frieda (Albers) Thomazin and passed away at her home east of St. Edward Monday, May 16, 1977.
Widow of Albert Jazwieck, who died in 1962, she married Rudolph Nauenburg May 24, 1968, at Salem Lutheran Church of St. Edward. He survives, along with two sisters, Mrs. Martin (Mildred) Werts of Homedale, Idaho and Mrs. Waldo (Lola) Iverson of Columbus; two brothers, Wilber Thomazin of St. Edward and Glenn Thomazin of Gresham. Her parents preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 20, 1977 from the United Methodist Church in St. Edward with Rev. Cecil Green officiating. Mrs. Neal Hasselbalch and Mrs. Frank Williams, accompanied by Mrs. Gordon Matzen, sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Just a Closer Walk with Thee."
Pallbearers were Leo Mahoney, Kenneth Thomazin, Max Thomazin, Nick Thomazin, Richard Nauenburg and Jerry Nauenburg. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Out-of-town relatives and friends were from Idaho, Iowa, Illinois; Genoa, Belgrade, Fullerton, Bartlett, Fremont, Columbus, Omaha, Gresham, Beatrice, Platte Center, and Albion, Nebraska.
