Zelma passed away at the Bee Hive Assisted Living Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born in Franklin Township, the daughter of Jesse A. and Isadora Z. (Allen) Dean.
Zelma married Delbert E. Bagshaw on March 22, 1930 and they lived at Pekin until 1933. At that time, the U.S. Postal Service transferred Delbert to Campbellsburg. In 1945, they moved to the farm where they eventually got into raising broilers and Zelma did her part in the farming and taking care of the farm chores. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening and quilting.
Zelma was a 74 year member of the Campbellsburg and Salem Chapters Order of Eastern Star and a former member of the Campbellsburg Homemakers Club, the Campbellsburg Fireman's Auxiliary, and the Brown Township Farm Bureau.
Zelma is survived by a daughter, Anita Perdiew, one granddaughter, Rita (Jeff) Smith, one grandson, Mark Taylor, one great-granddaughter, Miranda Smith, and one great-grandson, Taylor Smith, all of Salem, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son, Jesse Bagshaw, one sister, Laura Mae Dean and two brothers: Ira and Emmett Dean.
