Mrs. Margaret Werts Succumbs after Six Months Illness
Mrs. Margaret Werts, 235 Wright Street, passed away at one o'clock Sunday morning at her home. Mrs. Werts had been ailing for the past six months never entirely recovering from an attack of the flu.
Deceased was born in New York on July 17, 1845, and moved to Dimmick Township when she was nine years of age. She moved to LaSalle about eight years ago. Her husband Daniel Werts passed 21 years ago.
Surviving are the following children: Frank and Charles of LaSalle and William of St. Edward, Nebraska. There are 12 grandchildren, two sisters: Mrs. Mary Werts of Streator and Mrs. Ellen Cahill of Dwight, and a brother, William Quinn of San Antonio, Texas.
The funeral will be held Tuesday morning from residence to St. Patrick's church, where a requiem high mass will be celebrated at 9 o'clock. Interment will be made in St. Vincent's cemetery.
