BOONEVILLE - Orin Ray Howard, 53, died Saturday, April 19, 2003, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was born October 5, 1949, in Bessemer, Ala., to Raymond Howard and Lena Credille Howard. He was a service station attendant and a member of Freedom Independent Church. He enjoyed playing the guitar, singing and fishing. He never met a stranger.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Voyles and Bro. Dennis Gentry officiating. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Chester Ray Howard and wife, Kristi, of Jackson, Tenn.; two stepdaughters, Sherry Gooch and Terri McKinney, both of Corinth; two brothers, Raymond Eugene Howard and wife, Sue, of Claremore, Okla., and Johnny Wayne Howard and wife, Gail, of Hickory Flat; three sisters, Quilla Mae Brumbelow and husband, Perry, of Middleton, Tenn., and Vera Rogers and Ann Walker, both of Bolivar, Tenn.; a grandson, Bobby Scott Howard; a granddaughter, Alison Paige Howard; and five stepchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Howard, on April 4, 2002; a brother, Jimmy Howard; and a sister, Margaret Morrow.
Pallbearers will be Marty Brumbelow, Chris Owens, Perry Brumbelow, John Morrow, David Hicks, Zack Eaton and Johnny Growdy.
