Billy Ray Scroggins, a carpenter in the homebuilding industry, died Monday morning at his home after a brief illness. He was 51.
Scroggins was a native and longtime resident of East Brewton and a former resident of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
Survivors include one daughter, Brandy McEnfee of Fort Walton Beach; his father, Lawson Scroggins of East Brewton; four brothers, Tim Scroggins and David Scroggins, both of Brewton, Andy Scroggins of East Brewton and Randy Scroggins of Charleston, W.Va.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. service at Craver's Funeral Home in Brewton. A private family burial will take place in Fort Crawford Cemetery in East Brewton.
