|Birth: ||Mar. 26, 1823|
|Death: ||Sep. 7, 1850|
--She was 7th of the 13 children of Rev. Thomas Battle & his wife Mary "Polly" Baker.
--Nancy married David Clement Bryan (1816-1850) on June 22, 1841 in Monroe County, GA. They resided on their plantation near Cuthbert, Randolph County, GA. They died within 3 wks. of each other, leaving their 3 young children as orphans.
--Nancy died of typhoid fever while on a visit home to her parents. As her husband died later the same month, it is thought that they contracted the same disease. He died either at his home in Cuthbert, GA or more likely at his brother Loverd Bryan's home in Lumpkin, GA.
--Nancy and David had 3 children: 1. Josephine Caroline, 2. James Sidney, and 3. Mary Edith Bryan.
--Nancy was the first of Thomas & Polly Battle's children to die.
