He was a Marine veteran of World War II.

Survivors: two daughters, Rose Burns of Maple Shade and Denise Clancey of Barrington; two grandchildren; a brother, Arthur Alessi of Turnersville, and a sister, Marie DiCarlo of Palmyra.
