Acedo, Frank D., 79, Born on September 23, 1930, Frank was a lifelong resident of Tempe, AZ. He passed away on November 24, 2009. Frank served in the United States Army and was a Korean War Vet. Following his years of service, he worked 29 years for the City of Tempe until retirement and he was a member of the American Legion. Frank spent most of his retired years proudly taking care of his mother until her passing. He was a loving and witty man, who will be greatly missed. Frank was preceded in death by his parents Henry N. and Rosa D. Acedo; brothers Charlie, Wally, Henry Acedo, Jr. and his sister Anne Guerra. He is survived by his sister Sally Careaga, twelve nephews, six nieces, numerous great nephews and nieces and his faithful bassidore, Pudge, whom he loved very much. A viewing will be held at 5:30pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm Wednesday, December 2 at Carr-Tenney Mortuary. Mass will be held at 9:30am on Thursday, December 3 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, concluding with burial at Double Buttes Cemetery. Carr-Tenney Mortuary assisted with the arrangements.
