Thelma I. Bossart
Thelma I. Bossart, 102, of Latrobe, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, in Loyalhanna Care Center, Derry Township.
She was born June 18, 1904, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Frye.
Thelma was the oldest member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Youngstown, Pa., and was proud of the honorary medal she received from the mayor of Latrobe.
She was a "Super Senior Saint" and loved her church. She was an avid bingo player at Adelphoi Village and at the Latrobe Elks and loved to spend time with her family.
She is survived by four daughters, Marion Allison and husband Bill, Las Vegas, Nev., Virginia Luttner, Patricia Guerrier and husband Frank, and Barbara Coppersmith and husband Harry, all of Latrobe;
Also surviving are nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Melinda Harkness, Latrobe; a sister-in-law, Hazel Fry, Latrobe; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Bossart; two daughters, Dorothy Kerr and Elnetta Carey; four brothers, Frank, Glenn, Lewis and Earl Frye; two sisters, Mildred Harr and Catherine Stadler; and two sons-in-law, Frank Kerr and William Luttner.
Friends were received in the Hartman-Graziano Funeral Home, Latrobe. Funeral services were held at the funeral home chapel with her pastor, the Rev. David von Schlicten, officiating.
Interment was in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.
