Jesse Arthur Blazer, 97, of Red House Road, died Saturday July 8, 2006, in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Rosa Mae Moore Blazer.
Born in Sevier, Tenn., August 27, 1908, he was a son of the late Cornellus Benjamin and Katie Florence Allen Blazer. Mr. Blazer was a member of Central Baptist Church, and loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by a son, Troy H. Blazer, of Appomattox; two daughters, Inez Fay Martin, of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Jean B. Martin, and her husband, Horace, of Virginia Beach; a sister, Vola Garrett, of Richmond, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2006 in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home, and other times at his residence. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.robinsonfuneral.com.
