Frank Coan, 79, life long resident of Olney until 1 1/2 years ago moved to a farm west of Olney.

He was born near the Onion Hill vicinity on April 4, 1888, son of William E and Matilda (Lewis) Coan, padded away 16 Sep 1967.

He was a veteran of WWI. Served with the AEF.

Mr. Coan was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and he was united in marriage to Bertha M Derler on 17 Nov 1914.

He is survived by his wife, and the following children: Mrs K. O. (Mary C) Robins, John Robert, Philip E., Walter J., Lawrence A., Mrs Henry (Emma Kay) Attar, Francis Eugene, Mrs Leland (Evelyn Jane) Sharrock, Mrs William (Rosa Lee) Daubs, Mrs John D (Julia M) Hawkins and Mrs Gerald F (Bertha L) Branham; also surviving is a brother, Robert I Coan and sister in law Mrs. Pearl Coan; 43 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sons, Harry Sylvester and Vern Edward; 2 brothers, Norm and John (his twin); 3 sisters, Mrs Sylvester (Audith) Joseph, Mrs Irvin (Tobitha) Bertram and Miss Jane Coan.
