Carlton Lee Layton, 90, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Carlton was born Nov. 13, 1919, in Bonham to Lola and Luther Layton. He was a decorated United States Navy veteran of World War II and served on the USS Tennessee. Carlton was a member and deacon of Southcliff Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wives, Carol Layton and Dagmar Layton.
Survivors: Daughters, Diana Thetford and husband, Mark, of Fort Worth, JoElla Downes and husband, Herbert, of Iowa Park; grandchildren, Jessica, Carlton, Joel, Terriesa and Danita; and seven great-grandchildren.
