Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Harvest Time Baptist Church, with the Rev. Martin Coon officiating. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Apfel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Davis was born Jan. 16, 1928, in Jetmore, Kan., to Kermit and Leone (Sweeten) Fisher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene B. Davis, on Nov. 6, 2007.
Survivors of the immediate family include a daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Dale Eddy of Archer; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Terry and Rita Muir, David Muir, and Rocky and Mary Muir, all of Grand Island; a stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Carl A. and Jody Davis of Lincoln; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Karl Fisher and Leo and Cheryl Fisher of Baggs, Wyo., and Dale and Deb Fisher of Menagha, Minn.; and a sister-in-law, Mildred Fisher of Grand Junction, Colo.
Other survivors include 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
When she was 16 years old, the family moved to Bloomington, and Gertrude graduated from Naponee High School in 1946. She moved in 1963 to Grand Island, where she owned a dry cleaning business for more than 10 years. After that, she worked at New Holland for more than 13 years and for 10 years at T&R Drywall.
She married Eugene B. Davis on Dec. 8, 1975, at St. Paul. They made their home in Worms until 1997, when they moved to Grand Island.
Gertrude devoted her life to her children and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Forest, Marion and Billy Joe Fisher, and infant brothers, Floyd and Michael; sister, Opal Mohr, and infant sister, Edith; and two great-grandchildren, Jaden Muir and Abel "Boo" Ortiz.
Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.
