#1 August 9, 1934 - The Enterprise
Funeral services for Richard, the two year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Ludwig of Lansing, Mich., were held on Monday afternoon at the Congregational church and were in charge of Rev. H. C. Van Valkenburgh. The child is survived by his parents, a twin brother, Robert, and two sisters, Betty Gay and Gwendolyn, his grandfather, A. M. Ludwig of this place and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Wilkins of Fremont.

#2 August 9, 1934 - The Pilot - Richard Albert Ludwig

Richard Albert, one of the twin boys of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Ludwig, died at their home in Lansing, Mich., last Friday and was brought to Arlington for burial and the funeral was held at the Congregational church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. A quartet composed of Mrs. Howard Marshall, Vee Louise Marshall, Therlo Rockmeyer and Richard Cady, sang "I Think When I Read That Story of Old", "Precious Jewels" and "O Love That Will Not Let Me Go". Alice McKibben presided at the organ. Pastor Van Valkenburgh spoke from the text Isaiah 61:1. "I am sent to heal the broken hearted". Interment was made in the beautiful Arlington cemetery.

Richard Albert Ludwig was born December 29, 1932, and died August 3, 1934, aged one year and seven months. He leaves besides his parents two sisters, Betty Gaye, and Gwendolyn, and his twin brother, Robert Frank. He was a sweet, interesting child and will be greatly missed from the family group. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the bereaved parents in their great loss
