James B. Nettles, 82, Supervisor with Lockheed Missle & Space Corporation, passed away peacefully at his home in Tallavana on Monday evening, December 1, 2008. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December, 4, 2008 at Abbey-Riposta Funeral Home Chapel (850-562-1518). Interment will follow at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Nettles; son, Darrell (Monica) Nettles, NY, NY; daughter, Gayle Norris, Havana, Fla.; brothers, Rodney (Mary Ann) Nettles, Branford, Fla., and John J. (Debbie) Nettles, Lake City, Fla.; Sisters, Katie Biggs, Williamsburg, Va., Ethel Boyette, Henrietta (Joe) Kirkland, Elizabeth (Bob) Green, Lake City, Fla., and May (Jim) Edwards, Fernandina Beach; one granddaughter; 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of caring and thoughtful friends. The family wishes to express their thanks to Big Bend Hospice for the care and kindness they received during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to Big Bend Hospice.
