Adam died almost two weeks after the death in Maryland of his son Daniel serving in the Civil War.

Adam WEIGHT b. ca 1787 in Berks Co. PA. d. March 27,1862 near Tyrone, Pa. Married (probably ca 1815) to Margaret Hunter, daughter of John and Jennie Hunter. Adam is in the 1850 c. for Snyder Twn. with wife Margaret. Adam's father was John George Wecht/Weight b. 1763 in Berks Co, Pa and died ca 1830 in what is now Blair Co., Pa. Adam is buried in Grandview Cemetery in Tyrone in section 84 but without a headstone.

1. John Weight b. ca 1817 d. John never marries until he is about 52 years old. He is found taking care of his widowed mother in the 1870 census. He marries widow Elizabeth Boyles, who is much younger than he, in about 1869 and has at least one child with her and also adopts one of her children.

MOORE. He is living next to his father Adam in the 1850 census

4. Adam Weight Jr. b. ca 1828 d. btw 1880-1900. Ann(a) Isabella HENDERSON. He is living two farms from his cousin George, son of his uncle Abraham. In 1880 he is listed as working in "iron works."

4.3 William M. Weight was born January 21, 1857 in Blair Co. In the early 1880's he came with his parents to Clyde, Kansas and later to Hoxie, where he spent the rest of his life except two years that he resided at Selden. William M/ died September 29, 1921 in Hoxie, KS, married Jennie Elmira Freeman on October 29, 1900 in Hoxie. Children were Raymond Kyle, Ralph H., Harold Freeman, Josephine Elmira, William Milton, Daniel Whitney and Eva M.

Mrs. Mary Waite, widow of the late David Waite, died at Grazierville Tuesday at nine o'clock, after only one week's illness. Mrs. Waite was a daughter of the late
William and Nancy Eaken, and was born at Grazierville April 1b [sic], 1836. Her husband, David Waite, preceded her to the grave December 16, 1893. Mrs. Waite was a
most excellent woman and a devoted member of the Methodist Episcopal church of Grazierville. She is survived by the following children: Miss Lula Waite and Daniel
E. Waite at home; James W. Waite, of Grazierville; Mrs. Margaret Edminston, of Bellwood; John H. Waite, of Kansas; Mrs. Nancy Shelow, of Orchard Crossing; Mrs.
Anna McFarland, of Pittsburgh, and David B. Waite, at home. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren, and one brother, William R.
Eaken, of Grazierville, and one sister, Mrs. Samuel Reel, of Tyrone. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock in the Methodist church at Grazierville, and will be conducted by Rev. Mr. Sherman, the pastor. Interment at Grazierville. Please omit flowers.
