(Lincoln Co Health death card); "Funeral services for William Reinbold, 61, farmer in the Egypt district, were held from the Egypt Lutheran Church last week Wednesday. His widow, four daughters, Mrs Elsie Buck, Mrs Meta Weber and Mrs Helen Furgeson, Davenport, Mrs Edna Ellis, Kellogg, Idaho; two sons, Adolph and Norman, Davenport and a half-brother, Jacob Reinbold, Egypt farmer, survive him." (Citizen: 9-20-1935); {Per the Reinbold Genealogy, "William, the 13th child of Mathias; William, 10-03-1873; d. 9-09-1935; Married: Bertha Elizabeth Conrad. William was the first son of Mathias and his fourth wife, Christina Holzer. As a young child in Germany, William tended the animals with his sister Louise. William was in the German army but after his tour of duty he did not like military life well enough to make it a career. When he was 21 years old, he decided to follow his brothers to America. He promised his mother faithfully that he would one day return to Germany to visit her and though he never fulfilled his promise, it was his plan to do during her lifetime. He met Bertha Conrad who was working at the Simon Reinbold home, and they were married Oct 23, 1900. William was instrumental in helping families new to the community to settle and make a living." The children of William and Bertha were shown as: Elsa Mathilda (1901, w/o Fred G Buck), Mata Bertha (1903, w/o Ervin Webber), Edna Minna (1904, w/o Solon Ellis), Helen Emma (1906, w/o Kenneth Ferguson), Adolphe Wm (1909), Emil (1911-1911), Elmer (1913-1914), and Norman A (1920).} "William Reinbold, 65, a resident of the Egypt country north of Davenport nearly 50 years, accidentally shot himself to death with a shotgun while out after predatory birds near his barn about 10 a.m. Monday. Mrs Reinbold had gone with a car to meet Charles Wardell, hired man, who was enroute from Davenport, and Mr Reinbold told Helen Murbach, hired girl, he was going out after hawks. When Wardell went out to find Mr Reinbold and talk about his work, he heard a shot from the other side of the barn, hurried around and found Mr Reinbold with the top of his head blown off. Floyd J Underwood, county prosecutor and coroner, after an investigation, said no inquest would be held. Neighbors said the gun had gone off accidentally several times. Mr Reinbold, a native of Germany, is survived by his widow, Bertha; four daughters, Mrs Elsie Buck, Mrs Meta Weber and Mrs Helen Furgeson, Davenport, and Mrs Edna Ellis, Kellogg, Idaho; two sons, Adolphe and Norman, Davenport, and a half brother, Jacob Reinbold of Egypt."
