Married Elizabeth Hardeman in 1778 Beaufort, SC. Children of the couple include: William, Jonathan, Hustis Jr.,Elizabeth, Rebecca, Levicy, Caron, and John.

Hustis Studstill - B. 1760 D. 1805. An Ensign in the Screven Militia on Nov. 21, 1793, commissioned Apr. 28, 1795 as Captain of Screven County Militia. Listed as Lieutenant in the Bulloch County Militia Nov. 25, 1796.

According to "Georgia Revolutionary War Soldiers' Graves" Vol One, compiled by H. Ross Arnold, Jr. and H. Clifton Burnham, he served as a Sgt in Capt James McNeal's company of the Richmond County, GA Militia commanded by Col. Robert Middleton. He is buried in Bulloch County, GA.

This church was previously named the Scull Creek Baptist Church, founded Oct. 24, 1804 in Bulloch County, GA. It is now Emanuel County, created in 1812 partially from Bulloch Co. It is now known as Hebron, name changed in 1818. There is a Hustus Studstill listed as member and Rachel Studstill as member. There is no other Studstill listed.

The info we want would be from the old cemetery, somewhere close to the church. I have been looking for the letter that the man sent me with the info but as yet can't find it. He said that the graves at the old place are hardly recognizable and there is no list for that cemetery. Hebron Church Cemetery is at the intersection of Hebron Rd. and Augusta Rd, Garfield, GA. It's on the church property. I wrote the pastor of the church, he gave the letter to the man in charge and he answered my letter. You probably should do the same thing....they may have more information's been 2-3 years since I was there. The post office is TINY and they will deliver your letter to the church.
