In 'Newton County Families' it states:
'George Anderson's parents were Asa M. Anderson and Rhoda (Daily) Anderson. Asa M. Anderson was born August 11, 1839, or 1838 in Columbus, Indiana, and died January 1923. Rhoda (Daily Anderson was born August 20, 1844, in Indiana and died November 15, 1910. Both were buried in the Pruitt Cemetery near Jasper, Arkansas. Asa and Rhoda Anderson are the only Andersons buried in the Pruitt Cemetery.
The couple was married January 12, 1865, in Michigan Town, Indiana.
Asa enlisted Augsut 22, 1861, in the Civil War-Company C., Regiment 10, Indiana Infantry-and was discharged September 19, 8164, at Indianapolis, Indiana.
Children of Asa M. and Rhoda Anderson were Nettie May, born December 30, 1866, married Emil Springs; James Wesle, born July 1, 1869, married Emma Swope; Hattie Maud, born November 4, 1871, married Fred Boomer; Cora Belle, born January 7, 1875, married Bert Hinds; Rhoda, born August 17, 1877, died young; and George Edward, born July 13, 1879, married Fronia Atkinson.
Nettie and Emil Springer's children are Nona, Roy, Bird, Remmel, and Kathleen; Jim and Emma Anderson's children and Waskia and Nellie; Hattie and Fred Boomer's children are Benny, Walter, and Mabel; Cora and Bert Hinds' children are Arthur and Roy; George and Fronia Anderson's children are Sylvia, Iva, Rhoda, Cora, Jim, and Geneva.
Asa Anderson's parents were Joseph Anderson and Roxellana Bolt from Clinton County, Indiana.
Joseph T. Anderson probably married a widow, Elizabeth Beeby, on August 11, 866, after Roxellana died in the 1860's.' -Submitted by Sylvia (Anderson) Bishop.
