born Ilse "Mickey" Denny in Auburn, Nebraska, but raised in Polk County, Iowa, the oldest of three daughters of John W. and Ella (Anderson) Denny. Ilse was the wife of famed auto industrialist, Fred Duesenberg who is interred in this same plot. Fred and Ilse had one son Denny who is also interred in this plot(along with his wife Elaine). Ilse remarried after Fred's death in 1932.
