Mrs. Henry Lambert Called by Death
Mrs. Harriet Lambert, wife of Henry Lambert, passed away this morning at 6:15 o'clock at St. Anthony Hospital after a long illness. She was taken to the hospital three weeks ago Thursday of this week and underwent an operation for gall stones. She had been in poor health for some time and for the last five weeks in a precarious condition. She did not rally following the operation and death came this morning.
Mrs. Lambert was born Aug. 10, 1846 in Soham, England, and came to this country in 1883 settling near Winnebago. The family lived there until two years ago when they moved to Miner county, South Dakota. Mr. and Mrs. Lambert returned to Rockford three years ago and have made their home at 1237 Corbin Street since then.
Surviving her are the husband, three sons and one daughter. They are Eliza who lives near the city; John C., Arthur K., and Dayton H. Lambert who reside in Dakota. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon from Winnebago Street Methodist Church of which she was a member at probably about 2 o'clock. Complete arrangements have not been made but Rev. Enos Holt will officiate and interment will be made in the Westfield cemetery near Winnebago.
