He was born May 5, 1902, in Shelton, Neb. In 1937 he moved to Burr Oak. He was a retired mechanic and wood worker and a member of the Burr Oak Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Effie; two sons, John and Cleo; both of Burr Oak sister Mrs Verda Sipe, Mankato; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
The Rev Russell Shoemaker officiated at the services and burial was in the Burr Oak Cemetery.
