The funeral for Vern I Morris, 79, Burr Oak, was Saturday afternoon at the Burr Oak Christian Church. He died Tuesday at the Jewell County Hospital, Mankato.
He was born May 5, 1902, in Shelton, Neb. In 1937 he moved to Burr Oak. He was a retired mechanic and wood worker and a member of the Burr Oak Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Effie; two sons, John and Cleo; both of Burr Oak sister Mrs Verda Sipe, Mankato; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
The Rev Russell Shoemaker officiated at the services and burial was in the Burr Oak Cemetery.
