Brent Andrew Bigger, 33, of Liberty, S.C., and formerly of West Terre Haute, passed away Friday, Feb. 20, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Bigger, and children, Caroline Rose Bigger, age 7, and son, Anthony Brent Bigger, age 4, as a result of a tragic accident on Jan. 9, 2009, near Brevard, N.C., while returning home from a family day trip in the North Carolina Mountains. He was born July 18, 1975, in Terre Haute to Allen Bigger and Susan Plew Bigger. Survivors include his parents of West Terre Haute; two brothers, Kevin Bigger and his wife Jami of West Terre Haute, and Ryan Bigger of Indianapolis; paternal grandparents, Clifford and Margaret Bigger of West Terre Haute; mother-in-law and father-in-law, David and Roberta Miller of Thomasville, N.C.; sisters-in-law, Julia, Sylvia, and Lydia Miller; niece and nephews, Levi, Luke, Mariah, and Bowen Bigger; a great-niece, Lailyn Bigger; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harold and Pearl Plew. He was a graduate of West Vigo High School Class of 1993, and received his bachelor's degree in elementary education as a graduate of the Hobe Sound Bible College Class of 1998. Brent and his family were members of the Easley Bible Methodist Church. He and Patricia participated in various musical and vocal groups while attending Hobe Sound Bible College together, where they met and fell in love. They were married on July 17, 1999, in Thomasville, N.C. Brent, Patricia, Caroline, and Anthony were a very close and loving family who loved serving God. Brent often had Friday's off of work and loved spending the time with his family, often taking day trips and enjoying this time together. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. Third St., in West Terre Haute, with the Revs. Terry Goings and Bill French officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Memorial Park. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday.
