CUNNIGAN, Jr., Charles Chuck & Pat Together Again 78, of Arcanum, Ohio, died Saturday, July 2, 2005. Born December 19, 1926 in Hamilton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Patricia J. (Gruber) who died October 28, 2002, his parents Charles G. and Rebecca Cunnigan, his sister Jeanne (Cunnigan) Brock. He is survived by his children Nora Rose (Douglas) Mahoney, Cathy (Dale) Maurer, Charles F.P. (Mary Ann) Cunnigan; grandchildren Heather (Mahoney) & W. Michael Koehl, Mollie (Mahoney) Holland, Carrie (Maurer) & Ryan Lair, Chad M.R. Cunnigan & Megan L. Cunnigan; great-grandchildren Lanie G. Holland, Luke A.J. Koehl, Sarah E. Koehl, & Mason R. Lair and special nephews and nieces. Chuck graduated Fairview High School, Dayton, OH and attended Purdue University. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII 1944-46 on the USS YMS 119 and was a Champion Golden Gloves Boxer in Dayton. He was associated for over 50 years with Boy Scout Troop 6, past-President PTA, former Life Member Riverdale Optimist Club, over 38 year employee Ohio Bell Telephone Co., St. Paul's Episcopal Church, past-Commander American Legion Post 665, Life Member American Legion, Life Member VFW, Telephone Pioneers Life Member Club, Naval Mine Warfare Assoc., Gordon Keenagers, and numerous genealogy associations. He played and umpired numerous Dayton area baseball leagues and coached Jess Haines Class F baseball. Honoring Dad's wishes the family will celebrate his life at a graveside service in Ithaca Cemetery, Saturday, July 16, 2005 at 6:30pm officiated by Fr. Daniel K. Layden, St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Greenville. In lieu of flowers, Dad would appreciate donations be made to the American Legion Post 665, 450 N. Main St., W.
