Mrs. Martha E. Gunn, aged 76 years, died at 3 o'clock yesterday morning at the home of her adopted grandchild, Mrs. W. H. Hagy. She had been a resident of this city for 22 years, was a native of Georgia, but came to Texas when very young and settled near Columbus.
Mrs. Gunn is survived by two brothers, W. R. Turner of Travis county and P. D. Turner of Hays county; one sister, Mrs. M. J. Bridges of Burnet county, and an adopted daughter, Mrs. C. D. Truss of this city. The funeral will take place at 3 o'clock this afternoon from the residence, 742 Pennsylvania avenue, West End. Rev. P. D. Hardin, of the West End Methodist church, will officiaate, and interment will be in the Knights of Pythias cemetery.
Her first husband was Captain Harrison Gregg a Civil War Hero.
